Visit to a local chocolatier At Chocolatier Van Nevel, your group can witness firsthand how chocolate and pralines are made the traditional way. Afterwards, they can taste the result - and buy it!
Duration: the visit to the workshop takes 45 minutes, which can be extended with a coffee break!
Price: € 3.5 per person for the visit, including samples (minimum of 15 people, maximum of 60 people). There is a fixed minimum fee of € 75 for groups of less than 15 people.

'Her Side of the War': guided city walk or tour During the First World War, there was great misery everywhere. This journey through Diksmuide looks at the role played by several strong women in dealing with this misery. In Diksmuide, you will visit exhibitions about Käthe Kollwitz, Elsie and Mairi, and Madame Tack and Mietje Boeuf, plus related sites in the immediate surroundings, accompanied by a female guide.
Duration: afternoon programme (4 hours)
Price: € 23.50 per person (at least 15 people). This price includes: - Guide - Welcome with coffee and a Diksmuide brioche - Entrance to the different exhibitions in the Town Hall, Gallery Montanus.5 and the Museum on the Ijzer. Transport is not included in the price and needs to be provided by the group itself. If no transport is available, various elements of the programme can be included in a city walk. A sandwich meal (sandwiches with coffee or a regional beer) can be provided on request for the price of € 8 p.p.

Theatre walk 'Women in the Frontline' Based on personal testimonies and experiences, nine women who were active during the Great War in the Westhoek are given a live platform to tell their story in four moving scenes. The women in question are: Queen Elisabeth, Käthe Kollwitz, Marie and Irène Curie, Elsie Knocker and Mairi Chisholm, Madame Tack and Mietje Boeuf. The lady of the Blankaart castle and her nieces act as 'hosts' of the public. The setting is the castle's atmospheric park.
Price: € 11 per person (at least 15 people). Optional: it is possible to request a sandwich meal (sandwiches with coffee or a regional beer) to be served before the theatre walk for the price of € 8 p.p.
Location: The park of Blankaart Castle in Diksmuide
Extra info: The theatre walk can only be booked on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September 2016 (08.00 pm), and Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October 2016 (08.00 pm). Combination with module 1 or 2 is possible. This module needs to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. The walk is in Dutch, with a simultaneous digital projection in French, English and German on nearby television screens.
